Celebration Chinese New Year 2025

Chinese Institute Geneva Foundation has been invited to participate in a series of activities organized by the Permanent Mission of China to Geneva and the Chinese Embassy in Switzerland to celebrate the Chinese New Year 2025. These events will take place on February 11th and 12th, showcasing the depth and breadth of Sino-Swiss cultural exchange.

On the evening of February 11th, the Chinese Embassy in Switzerland will host the Year of the Snake Spring Festival reception. The acting head of the Chinese Embassy in Switzerland, Mao Jun, will attend this grand event, along with overseas Chinese, representatives from Chinese institutions, and students in Switzerland to celebrate the Spring Festival. In addition, Ms. Tang Yiliang, who is responsible for affairs concerning students from French and Italian-speaking areas, promotion of Chinese language teaching abroad, and internship programs with international organizations, as well as Director Sun Hao of the consular department of the Chinese Embassy in Switzerland, will also be present at the event.

On the following day, February 12th, the Permanent Mission of China to Geneva will host a reception. The event will be co-hosted by Ambassador Chen Xu and Counselor Mao Yizong, inviting heads and representatives of over 20 international organizations including the United Nations Office at Geneva, the World Intellectual Property Organization, and the World Health Organization, as well as over a hundred permanent representatives from various countries to Geneva and other dignitaries to jointly celebrate the Spring Festival.
