The Great Easter Egg Hunt & Chinese Character Challenge
Teacher Yang Zhihua designed a unique Easter-themed activity in class. By combining the Chinese language lessons with the learning of Chinese characters, she organized an outdoor “Find the Chocolate Eggs” game. The rules are simple: each chocolate egg has a different Chinese character, and students must find and decipher these characters to earn rewards. This activity not only helps improve the students’ memory of Chinese characters but also enhances their dexterity and teamwork skills.
Outdoor activities offer many benefits. First, they allow students to relax and reduce the fatigue from sitting in the classroom for long periods. Second, the outdoor environment helps improve students’ concentration and observational skills while stimulating their interest in learning. Finally, group activities encourage interaction and communication among students, fostering a sense of collective pride.
Through this activity, Teacher Yang Zhihua successfully combined traditional culture with modern education, allowing students to learn while having fun and grow through play.
