Spring Festival celebration CIG

On January 25th, a Spring Festival celebration was held at Necker, where the entire school community gathered to celebrate this traditional festival. The festivities kicked off at 9:30 AM with a vibrant solo performance of “Little Apple” by Zhang Boya from Li Yijie’s class, painting the first stroke of festivity for the day. This was followed by Yu Linshan’s “You Look So Good When You Smile” and a group rendition of “Little Snowman” by the class, each act brilliantly showcasing the students’ talents and enthusiasm for the festival.

The event featured a variety of performances, including a storytelling session of “The Snow Child” by Liu Junchuo, and an impromptu script performance of “Simak Guang Breaking the Vat” led by Yuan Jing, each adding to the festive atmosphere. Particularly, the 24-style Tai Chi performed by the CIG Tai Chi class and the dance “Sending the Bright Moon” by the CIG Girls’ Group not only highlighted the charm of traditional Chinese culture but also demonstrated the profound essence of Chinese heritage.

Moreover, Clémence’s cello medley and the kung fu fan performance led by Master Axing greatly diversified the program’s content and form, presenting a visual and auditory feast. The entire event reached its climax with the wonderful performances by the teachers and students, fully reflecting the school’s respect for and transmission of traditional culture.
