[CIG Summer Update]
While the Chinese classrooms at the serene Lake Geneva in Switzerland are quiet for the summer, the two principals of the Chinese Institute Geneva Foundation (CIG) are actively exploring new possibilities for Chinese education in Switzerland through overseas affairs exchanges and AI-driven innovations.
Chapter One: Engaging Guangdong’s Overseas Affairs to Draw a Blueprint for Cooperation
On July 18, 2025, to mark the first anniversary of the World Youth Federation of Chinese School Principals, Principal Huang Yuna of CIG joined a delegation led by President Luo Jian to visit the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Guangdong Province, Guangzhou’s Overseas Chinese Office, and the Guangdong Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese. The exchanges focused on cooperation in culture, education, and technology—injecting fresh momentum into overseas Chinese schools.
Chapter Two: The 2nd “World Youth Chinese School Principals Forum” and the 5th Anniversary of the Global Chinese Schools Alliance
On July 19, the 2nd “World Youth Chinese School Principals Forum” and the 5th Anniversary Celebration of the Global Chinese Schools Alliance—jointly hosted by the Global Chinese Schools Alliance and the World Youth Federation of Chinese School Principals and organized by Jinan University’s College of Chinese Language and Culture—was held in grand style. More than 200 Chinese education professionals, scholars, and business leaders from 34 countries and regions gathered online and offline to explore the sustainable development of Chinese education in the AI era.

🔹 Principal Huang Yuna attended in person and exchanged ideas with global peers on digital transformation.
🔹 Principal Leshan Fan delivered a brilliant keynote speech online titled “AI Loves Creation: Streamline, Cut, Simplify in Chinese Classrooms”, and received an honorary speaker certificate.
Chapter Three: Principal Training Course — A Management Essential in the Era of Intelligence
During the same period, Principal Huang is also attending the 2025 “Chinese Education – Chinese School Principal” training program (July 17–26) organized by Jinan University’s College of Chinese Language and Culture. The program focuses on “AI-powered Chinese education from a management perspective,” aiming to help CIG upgrade its intelligent teaching practices.
