





On September 22, President Fan, President Huang, and President Chu, representatives of the Chinese Institute Geneva Foundation in Switzerland, were invited to Bern, the capital of Switzerland, to attend the grand celebration hosted by the Chinese Embassy in Switzerland to mark the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Switzerland.
The ceremony was filled with a festive atmosphere. Chinese Ambassador to Switzerland, Qian Minjian, delivered a speech, highly praising the achievements of Sino-Swiss relations over the past 75 years and extending his sincere greetings and best wishes to the guests present.
During the event, a traditional Chinese music ensemble from Hangzhou, Zhejiang, performed several classic pieces, including The Lark, Le Vieux Chalet, My Motherland and I, and Auld Lang Syne. Their performance drew continuous applause and cheers, bringing the celebration to a climax.
This celebration was not only an important commemoration of the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and the 75th anniversary of Sino-Swiss diplomatic ties, but also served as a vital platform to deepen the friendship between the two peoples and promote cultural exchanges.
