A Thousand Miles Under the Bright Moon, Music Builds a Bridge of Friendship ｜ CIG Invited to the Geneva Mid-Autumn Concert
On September 23, 2025, the Chinese Institute Geneva Foundation (CIG) was invited to participate in the Mid-Autumn Festival Concert hosted by the Chinese Cultural Center in Bern.
The event took place at the Liszt Concert Hall of the Geneva Conservatory of Music, featuring a joint performance by a traditional Chinese music ensemble from Hangzhou and the Geneva State Wind Orchestra. Together, they presented “Sharing the Same Moon — Mid-Autumn Gala,” offering the audience a spectacular feast of sound and vision blending East and West.
China’s newly appointed Ambassador to Switzerland, Mr. Qian Minjian, Mr. Cui Ke, Cultural Counselor and Director of the Chinese Cultural Center in Bern, as well as officials from the Geneva State Government, each delivered remarks, extending Mid-Autumn Festival greetings to the guests.
The Fujian Association of Switzerland also thoughtfully presented mooncakes to attendees, adding warmth and festivity to the celebration.
This event not only showcased the unique charm of China’s outstanding traditional culture but also built a beautiful bridge for cultural exchange between China and Switzerland.
