Guzheng Course Instructors
➢ Teaching Team
The course is led by one lead instructor and supported by two assistant instructors.
- Lead Instructor:
Responsible for teaching the main lessons, covering fundamental finger techniques, performance of classical pieces, and essential music theory. The lead instructor not only demonstrates playing techniques personally but also explains the essence and charm of Guzheng music in an engaging and lively manner, helping students deeply understand the art of Guzheng. - Assistant Instructors:
Focus on after-class guidance. They provide one-on-one assistance to students, addressing challenges and difficulties encountered during class. Whether it’s issues with assignments or subtle inaccuracies in finger techniques, the assistant instructors patiently and meticulously provide corrections and support, ensuring every student receives sufficient attention and help.
➢ Introduction to Lead Instructor Su
Ms. Su has studied under the renowned Guzheng educator Professor Rao Ningxin since childhood. She is a senior-certified teacher from the China Conservatory of Music and a recipient of the “Glory of China” Guzheng Gold Award. Ms. Su is dedicated to Guzheng teaching and cultural promotion, with a particular focus on cultivating students’ fundamental skills. Her unique teaching style blends fun into the classroom, helping each student discover and develop their musical style and performance techniques. Her students, both domestic and international, hold her in high regard and have achieved success in multiple international competitions.
➢ Introduction to the Assistant Instructor Team
The assistant instructors are all certified by the China Conservatory of Music, with over five years of teaching experience. They specialize in creating personalized teaching plans tailored to each student’s needs, offering detailed after-class guidance and finger technique corrections. Their patient and meticulous approach ensures that every student receives sufficient attention and support.
