Dear CIG students, parents and friends,

We are pleased to announce a good news!

We are going to set up a children’s choir.​ ​Mr ZHAO Yuan, the musician of Chinese origin, ​professor of China Central Conservatory of Music, ​father of famous Swiss pianist ​Melodie​ ZHAO, will train for the choir as a volunteer.​ ​We have a high ​chance to perform in Switzerland this year, ​with professional musicians from China.

The conditions are as follows:

1) ​C​hildren 10 years plus until 18 years old.

2) ​S​peak and understand Chinese (basic levels)

3) ​M​aximum 25 children​ (volunteer)​ for choir and 1 pianist​ (volunteer)​ of all age for piano accompaniment.

​4​) It is completely free. Everyone ​will join in ​the choir ​a​s a volunteer. But once registered, you should commit for​ 5 Sundays training.

​5) The ​training times are: March 12​th​,19​th​,26​th​, April 2nd, 2017, from 16h00 to 18h00. April 22nd is general rehearsal together​ with other choir​, ​details ​to be advised.

Coming from the motorway:

Take Exit – GRAND-SACONNEX FERNEY- follow Grand-Saconnex until the Centre of the village (see map of Grand-Saconnex) at the traffic light, get into the right lane. Go straight on past La Ferme et La Villa Sarrasin, behind PALEXPO, on your right until Geneva Conference Centre of Buddhism, 20bis, Chemin du TERROUX, on your left.
Coming from town:
1. Follow PLACE DES NATIONS then direction Grand Saconnex, turn right at the traffic light, then left to traffic light in order to cross the main road, get into the right lane. Go across main road, up hill and take right fork past La Ferme et La Villa Sarrasin, behind PALEXPO, on your right till you reach the centre (which is on the left-hand side).
2. Follow direction AIRPORT, pass BALEXERT on your left-hand side, continue straight, at second traffic light, take right turn – chemin du TERROUX (in front of the Casai building), till you reach the centre (on the right-hand side).


From Airport
Taxi: 5 minutes. Bus: 11 minutes. Take Bus #10 Genève/Rive, get off at bus stop Meyrin De-joinville , turn left at the traffic light and walk for 10 mins to reach the centre.


From Geneva train station (Gare de Cornavin), direction Airport
Taxi: 15 minutes. Bus: 20 minutes. Take Bus #10 direction Genève/AIRPORT – Get off at bus stop Meyrin De-Joinville (opposite the Casai building), De-Joinville, go back till the traffic light and turn left, straight ahead for about 10 mins to reach the centre.
