On 18th December 2017, the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality organized the 4th International Conference on Chinese Education (Beijing education exchange activities for overseas representatives). Nearly 400 overseas Chinese education institutions representatives from 56 countries and regions worldwide participated in this conference, together with the educationalists from Beijing. Mrs. Jun Chu, the President and Director of Chinese Institute Geneva Foundation (Switzerland), attended the conference on invitation.
As an important agenda of the conference, the launching ceremony for the 1st Global Chinese Recitation Contest 2018 and the 4th “Cao Can” Teenagers Recitation Contest, took place on the evening of the 18th at the great hall of the people in Beijing. Mrs. Chu, representing the Chinese Institute Geneva Foundation, was invited as a VIP guest at the launching ceremony.
